Ashton strengthens lead in PDC Women's Series Order of Merit after successful weekend

Lisa Ashton has built up a big lead ahead of the chasing pack after the second weekend of PDC Women's Series action. 'The Lancashire Rose' claimed two titles this past weekend taking her tally to five this season.

By comparison, Fallon Sherrock who is in second only has two with Trina Gulliver collecting the other in Wigan. Despite that, 'The Queen of the Palace' still sits on £4,050. This is still well ahead of Lorraine Winstanley who is on £1,950.

With Laura Turner after her best weekend ever on the Women's Series in fourth with £1,750 reaching the final back-to-back and seemingly in the race to the Women's World Matchplay, she will swap her commentary mic for her darts.

The two best players at the end of the season can participate in the Grand Slam of Darts and the World Darts Championship. A total of twenty tournaments are played.

In addition, the top eight of the rankings will receive an invitation to the first Women's World Matchplay after twelve tournaments. This will take place on Sunday 24 July in Blackpool.
