Nathan Aspinall has come a step closer to participating in the Premier League Darts play-offs. The Asp defeated Daryl Gurney 8-5 on Night 15.
With this victory, Aspinall is now two points ahead of
Michael van Gerwen in the
Premier League Darts standings. Van Gerwen comes into action against Gary Anderson later in the evening.
The Stockport ace took a quick 3-0 lead against Gurney, but found himself 5-4 down after nine legs. The former UK Open champion leveled with a 15-dart leg and broke Gurney's throw in the 11th leg after Superchin missed four darts on the doubles. Aspinall doubled his lead to 7-5 with a 12-darter and then claimed the win with a 15-dart leg.
