Nathan Aspinall proved too good against Martijn Kleermaker to open up Saturday night's proceedings at the
Belgian Darts Open, with the next two players through to the Last 16 set.
After an 11-darter by Aspinall in the first leg, Kleermaker missed four chances to win the second leg. He was then broken by 'The Asp', who hit 76 for 3-0 and made it 4-0 with a 14-darter. A 110 check-out even made it 5-0. Kleermaker then saved the match with a 71 finish, before Aspinall ended the match with a 14-darter.
Luke Humphries also took a 4-0 lead in his match against Bradley Brooks, but saw 'Bamm Bamm' come back to 5-5. Brooks even got one matchdart from 64, but missed his dart at double 20. Humphries then won the match with a 56 check-out.
