Aspinall recovers to edge past Wright and remain top of Premier League Darts table

Nathan Aspinall has maintained top spot in the Premier League Darts table after Night Ten following victory over Peter Wright to end proceedings.

Aspinall recovered from 4-2 down to claim an 8-5 victory in the end as he continues his brilliant run so far in the darting roadshow.

The first four legs were shared before Wright moved 3-2 up on throw and he broke from throw as he looked to assert his superiority punishing two missed darts at double from Aspinall.

Aspinall though broke back immediately with double 12 to reduce the deficit to 4-3 and from there, he lead 5-4 with a sensational 161 checkout.

His break was consolidated with an 83 finish to make it 6-4 with 55% on the doubles and more missed darts at double from Snakebite from there handed Aspinall another chance and he led 7-4.

With at least a point secured, he claimed an 8-5 victory from there breaking throw with a 45 checkout.
