Aspinall seals first PDC ranking title since 2020 with Players Championship 13 win against Campbell

Nathan Aspinall who has battled through injury as of late has sealed his first Players Championship title since 2020 after seeing off Matt Campbell 8-6.
Aspinall claimed Event 13 to join Dirk van Duijvenbode in the winners' circle this weekend with a superb display from the Stockport ace.
Campbell sealed a 96 checkout to hold and this continued with Aspinall holding to make it 2-1 with an 81 checkout.
Aspinall missed the chance to break and Campbell hit double four. He hit double 20 to make it 3-3. Aspinall hit double three to make it 4-3 and break and he consolidated from there to head closer to the finish line at 5-3.
Campbell hit back with a 95 checkout to hold but needed a break which he missed a chance for after Aspinall pounced on to hit double eight for a 6-4 lead.
A 42 checkout saw Campbell hold throw to make it 6-5 but Aspinall again held on double 10 to make it 7-5.
Campbell hit double 14 to go one behind again and Aspinall was throwing for the match. He hit double eight to seal it.
