The final is set on the first day of a double header of Players Championship action in Barnsley with Nathan Aspinall set to take on Brendan Dolan.
Aspinall saw off Danny Noppert with a 105 average in a 7-3 win as he looks for a second title of the year after previously claiming one on the Players Championship series. This comes after his excellent win over Michael van Gerwen before that taking advantage of a poor World Number One.
Dolan on the other hand continues his resurgence as of late and 'The History Maker' who himself won at the Barnsley Metrodome in one of his two triumphs last year on the Players Championship series will put himself in position for yet another.
He has gone under the radar of sorts today but showed some good form in smashing James Wade 7-1 in his Semi-Final and before that taking out the likes of Derk Telnekes, Ciaran Teehan and Niels Zonneveld, all while not hitting the heights of those who have since gone out.
