Nathan Aspinall has followed Michael van Gerwen in qualifying for the final at the World Series of Darts Finals. 'The Asp' won over Peter Wright in the second semifinal after Van Gerwen narrowly beat Luke Humphries earlier in the evening.
After four legs the score was still 2-2, but then Aspinall took a comfortable 6-2 lead. Wright decided to change arrows and managed to finish 167, among others, but the margin of four remained and after twelve legs the score was 8-4 for Aspinall.
After that, Wright began to fight his way more into the match anyway. An 80 finish made it 8-6. However, Wright gave up his own leg again, and Aspinall again had a margin of four legs. A 16 finish took Aspinall to 10-6 and he needed just one more leg. Wright came back to 10-8, but then Aspinall closed the match.
