The
Premier League Darts touches down in Scotland this week for Night 3 of the prestigious competition. At the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Thursday evening serves up a mouthwatering clash: an all-Welsh showdown between
Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.
Price arrives in Glasgow chasing a second straight nightly title. Last week, โThe Icemanโ was dominant on Night 2 of the
Premier League Darts 2026 in Antwerp. Averaging well over 104 per visit, he defeated Gian van Veen and Clayton before convincingly dispatching Michael van Gerwen 6-3 in the final. It was a statement of intent from the former world champion, who is clearly in peak form.
Mental edge against Clayton
In the Glasgow quarterfinals, Price faces his compatriot
Clayton. Notably, Price has now won his last ten head-to-head meetings with Clayton. That statistical edge will surely give him extra confidence heading into their clash in Glasgow. Even so, Clayton will be eager for payback. The pair know each other inside out as Walesโ regular partners at the World Cup of Darts, but on the Premier League stage, friendship doesnโt count.
Ahead of Night 3, Price said he is feeling better and better on the oche. According to the Welshman, he is perhaps playing the best darts of his career in phases. At the same time, he stressed that the level in the Premier League Darts is exceptionally high.
โIn patches Iโm probably playing the best Iโve ever played, but so is everybody else," he said.
โI think the fact the two Lukes are playing so well has probably kicked us up the backside a bit. I am practising more than ever now, and itโs paying off.

Possible semifinal against Van Gerwen
The winner of the Welsh derby will meet the victor of the blockbuster between Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler in the semifinal. That is a matchup to savor, especially for Dutch fans. After two nights, Van Gerwen leads the table and holds a three-point advantage over his closest chasers. The three-time world champion reached the final on both Night 1 and Night 2, though last week he had to bow to a rampant Price.
Price himself though believes MVG is likely doing the same in terms of changing his routine to suit the rise of the top stars. โIโm sure Michael [van Gerwen] and everybody else are doing the same, and itโs good for the sport because everyone is on their toes.โ
With a roaring Scottish crowd at the OVO Hydro as the backdrop, Night 3 again promises fireworks. The margins are fine, the standard is sky-high, and every leg could prove pivotal in the race for those coveted playoff spots. For Price, a second straight nightly title beckons, while for Van Gerwen it is a chance to reinforce his lead.
