There were no dramas for Australia who secured safe passage through to the Quarter-Finals of the
World Cup of Darts after seeing off USA 2-0 in the singles making it the third match running not needing the doubles decider.
Simon Whitlock was first up against rising American talent, Danny Lauby Jr and it was an entertaining affair which saw the Aussie come out on top 4-3 in a tie which featured a missed double 18 for a nine-dart finish and Lauby taking out 170.
It was up to Chuck Puleo to salvage the American dream but it proved just that as
Damon Heta saw off 'Pipes' 4-2 to clinch it 2-0 for Australia who join England and Northern Ireland in the latter stages.
