Beaton finishes top of PDC Home Tour III Group Three ahead of Mansell

The latest PDC Home Tour III group has seen Steve Beaton finish top ahead of Mickey Mansell who finished second on leg difference.

It was five wins and a defeat for 'The Bronzed Adonis' today to finish on 10 points with the evergreen former World Champion joined by a similarly good day by the 'Clonoe Cyclone'.

After an opening defeat to Richard North (4-3), he went on to win every game from there seeing off Gary Blades (4-1), Nathan Derry (4-2), Joe Murnan (4-2), Alan Tabern (4-1) and Mickey Mansell (4-3).

His win against Tabern in particular saw him smash in a 117 average in the display of the day but he is not yet through to the Championship Group. He will play again with today seeing him take an early march in the standings though.
