Beau Greaves has continued her incredible year and it is only apt after she sealed her Tour Card and PDC World Darts Championship spot through the Development Tour that she is into the
World Youth Championship final but she did so by defeating
Luke Littler in a seismic upset.
Greaves faced Littler earlier in the year on the ProTour in a match that produced fireworks and it was the same again in the semi-finals as Greaves edged it this time 6-5 with a 105 average in a match we could see a lot in the coming years if Greaves accepts her Tour Card.
Greaves will now face
Gian van Veen in the final who is the defending champion and also lost the final the year before. He saw off Jurjen van der Velde at Minehead in 2025 and lost to Littler the year before. He saw off Sebastian Bialecki in the semi-finals narrowly 6-4.
Greaves set up the tie in the latter stages by seeing off German talent Liam Maendl-Lawrance while Van Veen had seen off Development Tour forerunner Cameron Crabtree. Bialecki had seen off Keane Barry while Littler had taken down Jamai van den Herik.
Littler won the first leg with a 180 and 61 checkout for a 14-darter while Greaves broke back immediately with a 14 darter in reply. Littler upped the anti with a 10-darter going 180, 177 and missing the nine-darter. He took a 3-2 lead. He broke with another 10-darter going 180, 140, 141 to leave 40. But back came Greaves with a 12-darter on 85.
Greaves took the game by the scruff of the neck and made it 4-4. Littler went one away but Greaves won the last two legs with a 17-darter on double 19 then an 11-darter to finish on 84. Special darts from the WDF Women's World Champion who has shown her talent once again. Littler lost with a 107 average remarkably.
