Bellmont withstands late fightback to down Rodriguez, Lukeman powers through and Nentjes punishes astonishing Pisek miscount

The opening matches of the Czech Darts Open are complete with Martin Lukeman, Stefan Bellmont, and Geert Nentjes reaching Saturday's action in Prague.

Lukeman will face Nathan Aspinall on Saturday after a routine win over Patrik Kovacs. It was 6-2 for 'Smash' despite him missing 17 darts at double throughout the tie.

While for Bellmont, he survived a late fightback from Rowby-John Rodriguez to seal his spot in the next round. It is only a second European Tour win albeit in as many weeks from the Swiss ace.

Rodriguez came from 5-1 down with it finishing 6-4 in the end to Bellmont but for 'Little John' his form woes continue after a superb 18 months prior to this year. For Bellmont, he is on the up.

Geert Nentjes nearly was stunned by the first Czech ace in the tournament in David Pisek. But an astonishing miscount and a missed match dart allowed him off the hook.

Going for 72 for the match, he missed it twice but the first time he went single 20, treble 20 and Nentjes went on to win it from there in a decider 6-5 with Pisek missing 117 for it.
