Wright repeats previously true prediction: ''I'm going to win the World Matchplay and the World Championship again''

Although he may be heading for the wooden spoon in the Premier League Darts table, Peter Wright is not lacking any self-belief as he repeats a prediction he made back in 2021, a prediction that came true back then.

“How does it feel to lose again and again? Well, normally I barely give interviews anymore. They leave me alone. They only talk about the 'big boys'," Wright laughs in an interview prior to his quarter-final defeat against Chris Dobey in Sheffield. “I try to forget those bad results in the Premier League. If you care too much about that, it will affect you in a negative way."

When Wright initially made his prediction back in 2021, Snakebite went on to achieve his goals and finish the year incredibly successfully, winning the Matchplay, the Players Championship Finals and the World Darts Championship.

"I know in myself that I'm not on level yet. Otherwise, I would beat those guys. But the shape is on the rise. The big tournaments are coming, I will be ready,” Wright declares before sending out a warning to his rivals. “I'm going to win the World Matchplay and the World Championship again. The others should try to stop me.”
