Ben Robb has been a common fixture in New Zealand when darts go Down Under for the
World Series of Darts events, but this time he will also appear in the
Australian Darts Masters following a tight 7-6 win over Jonny Tata in the final in the New Zealand qualifier.
While he has played a number of times on the
World Series, this is only the second time he will make the trip to Australia following him competing in the Brisbane Darts Masters back in 2019. He is the latest player to
confirm his place in the tournament at the WIN Entertainment Centre in Wollongong from August 21-22.
He began with a whitewash 4-0 win over Wayne McRae before taking down Josh Walters 4-2. Nicole Regnaud following in a closer 5-3 matchup while his best performance of the day came against Daniel Hales as he averaged over 90 in an emphatic 6-0 triumph.
This set up a final against Tata which was closely fought. It went the distance, but Robb had the tools at the end to prevail and add another World Series of Darts tournaments to his CV.

Field complete for tournament in Wollongong
Robb is the final player to cement his name in the event. A number of top PDC talents will be making the long trip around the world as they compete for World Series glory. Luke Littler did the double last year but has opted not to make the journey this time round, choosing a
vacation to Disney World.
Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen will
also not be involved, but a huge amount of talent will feature. Gian van Veen is the highest ranked player involved with fellow Premier League talents Jonny Clayton, Josh Rock, Gerwyn Price and Stephen Bunting taking part. Home hero Damon Heta will get a lot of support from the crowd with Ross Smith set to make his World Series debut.
Former world champion finalist Simon Whitlock headlines the Oceanic players with Adam Leek, Raymond Smith, Brody Klinge, Tim Pusey, Joe Comito and Darren Penhall all in action. The lineup is complete by Robb who will hope for a positive result.
