The World Series of Darts returns for 2026, which is a series of televised tournaments organised by the PDC. Six World Series events will be held, followed by one final event, which will take place in Amsterdam like every year since 2021. Qualification is based mostly on the Order of Merit.

One new event takes place in 2026 with the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters at the Global Theater in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. However the Dutch and Poland Darts Masters have both been removed from the tournament calendar. The latter has been scrapped as the European Tour now has a stop in Poland in early 2026. The Bahrain Darts Masters starts it all off between 15-16 January, the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters is next up on 19-20 January.
Unlike previous years we then don't get any World Series action until June with tournaments in Copenhagen (5-6 June) also known as the Nordic Darts Masters as well as the US Darts Masters (26-27 June) in the Big Apple, Madison Square Garden in New York.
Then it is a month or so gap with New Zealand Darts Masters (14-15 August) and Australian Darts Masters (21-22 August) in Auckland and Wollongong respectively. The World Series of Darts Finals take place then in Amsterdam between 17-20 September.
The top eight players on the 2026 World Series Order of Merit, a ranking of players based on points earned across the seven events will qualify for Amsterdam as seeds. They will be joined by fourteen additional qualifiers from the World Series Order of Merit. The winner for each event receives 12 points, eight points for the runner-up. Five points for semi-finals, Quarter-FInalists receive three points. While first round losers are set for one point.

World Series Order of Merit after the US Darts Masters

Top spot on the World Series Order of Merit is still held by Michael van Gerwen, who chose to skip the US Darts Masters. ‘Mighty Mike’ had earlier won this year’s World Series tournaments in Bahrain and Copenhagen.

That gave Luke Littler the chance to move level on points with the Dutchman, but Littler needed to win the tournament at Madison Square Garden to do so. He fell just short, with the final won 8-7 by his great rival Luke Humphries. The world number two was the best player in New York for the second year in a row, taking his points total to 26. That still leaves him two points behind Littler and six behind Van Gerwen.
For the top three, no more World Series points will be added for the rest of the season, as it was previously confirmed that Van Gerwen, Littler and Humphries will all miss the Down Under double-header. That opens the door for the other players to finish the World Series ranking as number one.
Fourth place is currently held by Gian van Veen, who moved to 19 points thanks to his semi-final run in New York. Gerwyn Price is fifth with 16 points, while Stephen Bunting and Nathan Aspinall are both on 10. James Wade and Jonny Clayton follow on eight points. Josh Rock played his first World Series tournament of the season at the US Darts Masters and lost immediately in the last 16, leaving him on just one point.
More points are still likely to come for Rock, as he is set to appear at the New Zealand Darts Masters and the Australian Darts Masters. Alongside Rock, Van Veen, Clayton, Wade, Price, Bunting, Ross Smith and Damon Heta will also represent the PDC at those tournaments.
