Bialecki dethrones the King, Lukeman edges scrappy tie with Michael

Sebastian Bialecki and Martin Lukeman are the next two names to secure a place in the last 32 at the European Darts Matchplay.

Lukeman opened the evening session at the Euro Tour tournament in Trier with a 6-4 victory over John Michael. He will meet second seed Ryan Searle in the second round on Saturday.

Bialecki scored a fine 6-4 victory over Mervyn King to force a tie with Stephen Bunting. The 18-year-old Pole broke King in the seventh leg with an 11-darter, but was then broken straight back. A new break in the ninth with a 112 finish gave Bialecki a lead and he finished the job with a 14-darter.
