The World Grand Prix gets its dream finale Sunday night. At the Mattioli Arena, Luke Littler and Luke Humphries will once again face each other in what will be yet another chapter in their fast-growing rivalry. According to the bookies, prior to the match, "The Nuke" is the favorite for the overall victory.
Littler is rated 1/2, which means that you make euro profit for every two euros you bet. Humphries is rated 8/5, meaning that when you put in five euros you can get 13 euros back. The 18-year-old Littler reached the final match after an impressive 5-1 victory over Jonny Clayton, putting him on course for another major title this season.
For Luke Humphries, it will be his third consecutive final in this tournament. The world number one won the event in 2023, but surprisingly lost to Mike De Decker last year. Saturday night he qualified for the final match again by beating Danny Noppert 5-3.
He hopes to take revenge in Leicester and lift the cup again. His form seems to be back in time after a strong performance against Noppert, in which he threw 14 180s and kept his composure when the Dutchman pressed in the closing stages. Still, the numbers point in the direction of Littler, who has already won several majors this year and is entering his sixth major final of 2025.
The meeting between Littler and Humphries has become the poster child of contemporary darts. The two are at the top of the world rankings, share all the major stages and have already met in several finals. The most recent major encounter was the Premier League Darts final, which was won by Humphries.
Betting firm BOYLE Sports, title sponsor of the tournament, expects a sizzling final between the two best players in the world. "Punters have been going for the Lukes all week so this is the decider they really wanted.Littler just has the edge according to the odds, but with both in top form, itโ€™s shaping up to be an absolute thriller of a final.โ€
