Beau Greaves has recently secured a tour card for the next two years via the Development Tour, earning praise from world number one Luke Humphries on her progression in the sport.
The 21-year-old has taken the darts world by storm, consistently producing whopping averages and performances on the oche which has seen her become a three-time consecutive WDF World Champion. She has become a force to be reckoned with on the Development Tour in 2025, winning three titles from four final appearances while reaching another four semi-final. These results have seen her sit high in the order of merit, earning herself a tour card.
She attempted to achieve this last year in Q-School but just missed out. This year has seen Greaves play on the Pro Tour on a few occasions thanks to her place in the Development Tour, clashing against Luke Littler in one of those appearances. She also competed in the UK Open, setting up a show-stopping clash against Humphries in the fourth round, holding her own as she was pegged back from a 7-5 lead to lose 10-7. As Cool Hand Luke looks to win his second World Grand Prix title, he still had the time to say some encouraging words about Greaves.
“Yeah, amazing. I'm quite proud of her. I think she's an amazing player and she deserves it,” Humphries said to SportsBoom. "She's been a real great player on the secondary tours this year. She's good on the challenge tour, good on the development tour and she'll be real threat going forward for all the players. Not just for me but for everyone. I predict that she'll flourish playing in it. She'll probably think that she's got no pressure on her shoulders, and she hasn't. I think she'll do really well.”
He also rates Greaves chances of keeping her tour card in two years as very likely. “Of course, she has two years to do it, doesn’t she. If she's relaxed and she's got no pressure on her shoulders yes, I believe she'd be top 64 within the two years for sure.”

Will Greaves accept it?

It will be interesting to see what route Greaves takes. Either she chooses to push herself to the next level and regularly compete with the best players in world on the Pro Tour, World Championships etc, or if she chooses to return to Lakeside to make it four world titles on the bounce. If she does accept it, then she will become the second women to have secured a Tour Card after Lisa Ashton in 2020.

“I don't have an opinion on that whatsoever. It's totally down to her," Humphries said. "I don't hope she does one or the other. If she picks to go in the WDF and wants to be a four-time world champion, then fair play to her. That's her prerogative. If she wants to come in the PDC world championships, then fair play to her as well. It's totally down to her, whatever she picks.”
Humphries also emphasised the importance to give her space and let Greaves do her own thing, warning the media of the consequences this could possess. “The important thing is that the media don't put pressure on her," he said. "If we keep talking about her too much and keep putting her name all the time in the headlines, it'll just put pressure on her. It is important that you guys as the media, give her a bit of space and just let her try and do well.”
