Brendan Dolan seals tenth PDC title with victory over Jeffrey de Graaf at Players Championship 10

Brendan Dolan has sealed his 10th PDC title after winning Players Championship 10 defeating first-time finalist Jeffrey de Graaf who is now Swedish instead of Dutch.
De Graaf made it to the final by beating Owen Bates (6-4), Mike de Decker (6-5), Matt Campbell (6-5), Thibault Tricole (6-3), Scott Williams (6-5) and Krzysztof Ratajski (7-5) in succession. Dolan won over Robert Grundy (6-2), Franz Roetzsch (6-2), Peter Wright (6-2), Dom Taylor (6-4), Daryl Gurney (6-4) and Graham Hall (7-5).
In the final, Dolan quickly took the initiative. He took the first three legs of the match and then managed to take a 5-2 lead via a 12-darter and an 11-darter. De Graaf closed to 5-4 via two 17-darters, but was unable to equalize. With a fine 12-darter, Dolan brought the margin back to a difference of two legs. The Northern Irishman then threw a 16-darter and a 15-darter to bring the final score to 8-4.
With this final victory, Dolan earned 15,000 significant pounds for the world rankings. He is competing with Daryl Gurney to determine who, along with Josh Rock, could go to the World Cup of Darts on behalf of Northern Ireland. Dolan was a few thousand pounds behind before this tournament, but is now 4,500 pounds ahead of his compatriot.
