Andy Baetens won a double on the WDF Tour last weekend and has emerged as the Number One on that side of the game and one of the best players without a Tour Card.
Baetens continues to prove that this weekend on home soil in the PDC as he is through to the Last 16 of the
Belgian Darts Open in Wieze.
'The Beast' saw off UK Open champion, Andrew Gilding in a stunning display 6-2 as he delighted the home fans. This is with a 98.8 average and 55% on the doubles.
While
Rob Cross on the other hand had to produce a comeback to see off Stefan Bellmont who made history yesterday as the first Swiss ace to move through on the
European Tour.
But he will go no further this weekend. After going 4-1 up, Cross then reeled off five consecutive legs to win 6-4 with Bellmont not getting another chance to win a leg during the tie. 'Voltage' survives a shock and joins Baetens in the Last 16.
