Brilliant Van Barneveld produces remarkable comeback to defeat Humphries, sets up Smith showdown at Bahrain Darts Masters

The first semi-final is set at the Bahrain Darts Masters with World Champion, Michael Smith set to face legendary Dutchman, Raymond van Barneveld for a spot in the final in the Desert.

Smith was first up and despite going 3-1 down initially, Smith came back to edge 5-4 up and then take the tie 5-4 in a match dominated by missed darts at doubles with 41 in total between the pair of them but it was 'Bully Boy' who prevailed to seal his spot in the semi-finals.

But it was Van Barneveld who produced one of the displays of the tournament so far as he sealed a sensational turnaround to see off Luke Humphries.

Van Barneveld came from 4-0 and 5-1 down respectively to edge out Humphries in a 6-5 thriller producing a 101 average and six 180's en route. On his World Series return, the doyen of Dutch darts is certainly making the most of it, but can he see off the reigning World Champion next?
