Brown who has stormed through the field could be on the verge of re-joining the PDC Tour. 'The Bomber' who is a former ranking winner is well known now for his role in the JDC; running the successful organisation and is in Wigan mainly to support his son but now is one game away.
He edged past Danny Lauby, the American prospect who has been one of the best players of the opening day in Wigan.
Next up is Lowe who edged past Andy Hamilton in a really scrappy affair; which he won in a decider, the former UK Open Qualifier semi-finalist is known as a quality operator and he is on the verge of joining the PDC Tour for the first time.
Tony Newell has only just lost his Tour Card but has been consistent all day and edged past Ryan Murray 5-3 but has a new name next up who has been going about his business playing some quality darts.
That is Gary Blades who edged past Rob Collins 5-3 with a 91 average to back up wins over Lisa Ashton and Dafydd Edwards also today all while maintaining between an 81 and 91 average all day.
