Dave Chisnall and
Dimitri van den Bergh like James Wade and Simon Whitlock in the previous game have secured progression through to the knockout stages of the
Grand Slam of Darts after winning their second games of the week.
Chisnall though had to do it the hard way against Rob Cross as he reeled off five consecutive legs to see off Rob Cross and claim his progression in a 5-2 win.
The latter started brilliantly with a 114 checkout to double his lead in the early going. But Chisnall pounced after Cross missed the bull for a 170 checkout to square it up at 2-2.
From there, he moved ahead and didn't look back finishing off the tie and leaving Cross's fate up to his final game tomorrow.
While Van den Bergh couldn't continue his record breaking exploits but still continued his form to claim his progression with a 5-1 win over Nathan Aspinall with a 101 average and 5/8 on the doubles.
Can 'The Dreammaker' produce another dream run in a PDC major this week? Well he is on his way at least to the next round.
