Although he may not have emerged victorious at the Czech Darts Open over the weekend, Dave Chisnall's trademark power scoring was on full display as he broke his own record for most 180's hit at a European Tour event.
Firing in a mammoth total of 28 maximums, Chisnall missed out on claiming his third European Tour title of the year, losing to Peter Wright in the final in Prague. Nevertheless, Chisnall did more than enough to consolidate his position at the top of the Euro Tour Order of Merit for the 2023 campaign.
As if to prove how well Chisnall has been playing on the Euro Tour circuit this year, the previous record for the most 180s ever hit at a single European Tour tournament was set by the 42-year-old earlier this year on his way to claiming the Baltic Sea Darts Open title in Kiel.
Dave Chisnall betters his own record for most 180s thrown in an European Tour tournament. It's the third time within a year that the record is broken or equalled.#CDO23 I #Darts I #ET8 pic.twitter.com/nOQfTR6opm
