The
European Championship continues in Dortmund with two superb displays to open up Friday night's action as
Dave Chisnall and
Dimitri van den Bergh surging through to the second round.
Chisnall like in January faced Stephen Bunting with the same outcome in the St Helens derby as 'Chizzy' produced a superb 6-0 win to down 'The Bullet'.
He averaged 107 to continue his superb form as of late. This display also included 66% on the doubles and a 121 checkout in a near complete win.
While Van den Bergh has had form doubts as of late with poor performances on the ProTour and not hitting the heights since a health scare at a European Tour.
But he nearly himself averaged over 105 as he eased past Daryl Gurney 6-2 in the second first round tie of the night. In the end, it was in the end just under 102 with 101.53 but was still a return to form as he hit two 180's and 42.9% on the doubles. This pouncing on only 2/7 hit by 'Superchin'
