Beau Greaves has been a true darting revelation since bursting onto the scene as a teenager recovering from dartitis to dominate the WDF Women's Tour and becoming World Champion before clean sweeping her first weekend in a while of Women's Series in the PDC.
Greaves going into this final weekend has a shot of making it to the Alexandra Palace and spoke about how she turned a negative time with dartitis into a positive.
"This year my target was to be a World Number One (WDF) and I've obviously done that now and kept up there for a while. I don't really think too much about the future, I just go to these different comps and feel lucky to do that. Darts is just a second thought, I go away to enjoy myself," said Greaves to the PDC.
"Going back to 2020, I was petrified to get onto the oche to a point when I thought I wasn't doing it anymore. The dartitis came about and it was hard because I went from being one of the top ladies to thinking I'm done. I had to face it really, it went as quick as it come and before I knew it, I was back to winning."
"That's made it's way into a lot of confidence now so going from the lowest point to my highest point now."
Speaking about becoming Lakeside World Champion, it is all about further accolades now after letting the dust settle.
"I'm 18, youngest ever, that's weird. I'll never forget that but just moving on and putting it to the side probably helped me a bit going on this year."
That included her four titles in Hildesheim and she settled back into PDC life straight away sharing her mindset.
"I felt really comfortable. I didn't think about too much and they just went in. You just want to be at the top, I think I've got there and hopefully I'll stay there. Everything's fragile so I'm just going to keep enjoying myself at the minute and see where it goes."
