Jermaine Wattimena missed an excellent opportunity to eliminate Jonny Clayton at the Hungarian Darts Trophy. After missed match darts, 'The Machine Gun' lost after a deciding leg.
The first eight legs of the match all went with the darts. That series came to an end in the ninth leg after Clayton missed three darts on double 12. Wattimena broke him with a 56 finish and then started the tenth leg. The darter from Westervoort missed six matchdarts to decide the match. Clayton equalized and then took the deciding leg with a 114 finish.
Dave Chisnall, the number one seed in Budapest, made no mistake against Scott Mitchell. 'Chizzy,' who won two Euro Tour tournaments earlier this season, defeated 'Scotty Dog' 6-2.
