Clayton withdraws World Series of Darts double header Down Under for family reasons

Jonny Clayton has opted out of the New Zealand Darts Masters and New South Wales Darts Masters, the two World Series tournaments in "Down Under" in August.

The 48-year-old Welshman was among the eight PDC representatives in the lineup for these two World Series tournaments. At the New South Wales Darts Masters, Clayton would even try to defend his title.

However, 'The Ferret' has decided not to travel to New Zealand and Australia due to family reasons. During the World Matchplay, Clayton revealed that his father is currently seriously ill.

Damon Heta is now among the eight PDC representatives at the two World Series tournaments. Heta was originally one of the eight local players. Warren Parry has been added to the field of competitors for the New Zealand Darts Masters to fill the vacant spot. Harley Kemp will be in action at the New South Wales Darts Masters.
