Jonny Clayton is in the quarter-finals of the PDC World Darts Championship for the first time in his career. In it, 'The Ferret' takes on Dimitri Van den Bergh.
Clayton defeated Josh Rock 4-3 in the fourth round. It is only the first time in PDC World Darts Championship history that two players from Wales managed to reach the quarter-finals at the same time. After all, Gerwyn Price also qualified for the quarter-finals.
Sixth Welshman
Clayton is also only the sixth Welshman to manage to reach the quarter-finals of the PDC World Darts Championship. Previously, Gerwyn Price (2020 and 2021), Jamie Lewis (2018), Mark Webster (2010 and 2011), Barrie Bates (2009) and Richie Burnett (2002 and 2003) did so.
