Only a few players have had a shot as of yet at a nine-dart finish and Wayne Mardle believes that there will be a perfect leg before the PDC World Darts Championship ends.
Mardle spoke after the coverage ended on Friday night and believes Michael Smith will be the player to do it.
"I'm surprised we've not seen a nine-darter today and I think we will get one. I keep saying it will be Michael Smith, it can't be Dirk van Duijvenbode but I think we will see one," he said on Sky Sports.
"In the New Year, these players that are making in-roads in the rankings. The Premier League is going to be big, the Masters. There are a lot of big games coming up, these games here will stand everyone in good stead for what's coming up in the New Year as well."
