Jonny Clayton produced an epic display to see off Jose de Sousa on Night Three of the 2021 Premier League Darts.
En route, there was a nine-dart finish for 'The Ferret' as well as a 105.2 average and 7/9 on the doubles as he surged to a 7-3 win and third in the table.
He spoke afterwards and reflected on the magic moment to continue his debut season in the tournament.
"I'm bouncing first of all with the win. That was a tough task and were both hungry. So a win over Jose, I'm really really happy and top it off with a nine, it's a good feeling," said Clayton post match.
"Hit the first two 180's and I was thinking okay that's good just follow it up and the seventh went in, the 19's went in and I was thinking please do not mess this up. It just landed and what a feeling."
For Clayton, he isn't getting too ahead of himself despite the excellent start but admitted he is living the dream.
"I'm really enjoying it. It's a dream that I'm in it. All of us as professional dart players, we all have goals to be World Champion to be part of the Premier League is the second best thing."
"I just try and play the best darts I can, when you are relaxed you play better darts."
