It was two contrasting ties for the Welsh duo at the top of darts as
Gerwyn Price and
Jonny Clayton moved through to the final day of the
International Darts Open in Riesa.
Price was locked in at 3-3 in a battle with Ritchie Edhouse but found another gear when he needed to reeling off three legs on the spin to win it 6-3 with a 99.8 average and 66% on the doubles as he looks for a third title in Riesa and to continue his
European Tour dominance after winning the only two tournaments held last year.
While for Clayton, he was on the verge of being dumped out by Krzysztof Kciuk who saw off Rob Cross with ease on Friday before sealing a 6-5 win.
It looked like a similar story with Kciuk sailing into a 4-1 lead and also going 5-3 up but as the saying goes never underestimate a Ferret and this rang true as he forced a decider and with Kciuk pressuring leaving 32 with Clayton on 96, the Welshman took it out to move through with a 98 average, three 180's and 42.9% on the doubles.
