Jonny Clayton has claimed PDC Home Tour Group Eight after claiming a clean sweep in moving through to the next round.
Clayton who due to his ranking was favourite coming into tonight's proceedings lived up to that tag with victories over
Adam Hunt (5-2),
Richard North (5-3) and finally
David Pallett (5-2) averaging between 90-95 throughout the night.
It was very much still up for grabs going into the final game though. Three players were still in with a shout with Adam Hunt in particular claiming two wins and a defeat while only being on two less leg difference.
Pallett though wasn't at his best in the final game and lost out 5-2 with a 77 average to the Premier League Challenger which sealed the fate of the group in favour of the Welshman.
He joins his compatriots Jamie Lewis and Nick Kenny in the next round, as well as Luke Woodhouse, Geert Nentjes, Dave Chisnall, Ryan Searle and Jelle Klaasen.
