Clemens disappointed with Germany's elimination in World Cup of Darts semi-final: "Couldn't take our chances"

Gabriel Clemens and Martin Schindler represented Germany at the World Cup of Darts. Together they reached the semi-finals, in which they lost 5-8 to Scotland.

Afterwards, Clemens expressed his disappointment on social media. "Of course we were disappointed that we could not take our chances in the semi-final against Scotland," he said.

Nevertheless, the 'German Giant' had enjoyed the tournament, which this year consisted entirely of pair matches for the first time. "We complemented each other super as a team the days and it was a pleasure for me that we could play together again," he praised his teammate.

That team spirit is paramount for Clemens was evident from his summary remark. "We win together and lose together." Finally, there was a vote of thanks towards the German crowd, who had given the German players plenty of support. ''Thank you everyone for the encouragement.

Gabriel Clemens and Martin Schindler will be back on stage in Germany from 30 June. Then they will compete in the European Darts Matchplay in Trier. This is one of the Euro Tour tournaments on the calendar.
