Gabriel Clemens has taken yet another step in his PDC career by reaching a maiden TV final at the German Darts Masters by easing past defending champion Mensur Suljovic.
This was to the delight of the German crowd who were firmly behind their man and were even booing the ever popular Austrian.
It was an 8-3 victory for 'The German Giant' as he continues to live up to the promise and dangerous tag put on his name ever since his run to the World Masters in 2017.
He took the early lead in the contest going 2-0 up with an 86 checkout teeing this up but Suljovic came back to tie it up with an 11-darter making it 2-2.
It ended up finely poised at the interval with parity at 3-3. From there though the German continued to build his lead. He took a break at 5-3 and took advantage of a missed 146 checkout to go two away.
The German crowd realised what was going on and went mental when Clemens went one away with a 13 darter at 7-3 and from there he had a brilliant leg to finish it all off and set up the final with another darling of the German crowd, Peter 'Snakebite' Wright.
