Peter Wright is on the verge of winning the German Darts Masters for the second time in the three years of the tournament being held after seeing off James Wade in the first semi-final.

Wright claimed the win 8-4 with a 96.3 average and 53 percent on the doubles as he continues his return to form which will be a welcome boost ahead of the World Matchplay.
It started off quite level between the pair but for Wright he claimed the break at the interval which helped him later on.
He was 4-2 up at the time despite not averaging to his best and he was half way from claiming the win but Wade did come back taking out a 121 on the bull to go 4-3 behind.
Wright though always kept Wade at arms length and he found double 20 to go back ahead at 5-4 and from there he broke again to make it 6-4.
He continued that with a clinical 121 checkout himself to go one away from a brilliant win and from there he claimed the victory and will face either Gabriel Clemens or Mensur Suljovic shortly.
