Jonny Clayton has denied James Wade his first
Premier League Darts weekly title of the season with the defending champion breezing past 'The Machine' for his second of the season.
Adding to his triumph in Liverpool, clinical Clayton produced once again this time in Birmingham in a 6-1 win with a 111 average, five 180's and 6/13 on his doubles.
Wade started poorly with a score of just five and was punished by Clayton who broke throw and doubled his lead in a sign of proceedings to come.
He finally got off the mark with a 96 checkout but Clayton streaked away with back-to-back legs averaging 109 in the process with Wade down at 79 unable to offer any resistence.
This continued to be the case as Clayton hit double 16 to go one away at 5-1 before an 86 checkout sealed the one way traffic and sent a message out to the rest of the field that 'The Ferret' definitely means business.
