Comfortable wins for Jose de Sousa, Chris Dobey and Martin Schindler open Friday evening session at International Darts Open

Jose de Sousa, Chris Dobey and Martin Schindler advanced to the last 32 at the International Darts Open on Friday night.

In the opening match of the evening, De Sousa faced Cor Dekker. The Dutchman actually managed to break his opponent De Sousa right away in the first leg and then made it 2-0 with a 61 finish. However, 'The Special One' came back to 2-2 and took over the lead with a 96 finish. Dekker equalized before De Sousa threw out 160 for 4-3. The Portuguese then posted a break before finishing it off beautifully with a 74 finish.

Chris Dobey recorded a big win over Dylan Slevin. The Irishman threw an average of 101.36, but that only earned him one leg. Despite an average of 96.78, the match was a 6-1 win for the former Masters champion.

Martin Schindler had an easy night against Jan Dueckers, who made his debut on the Euro Tour circuit in Riesa. 'The Wall' conceded only one leg against Dueckers. The difference in averages was huge. Schindler threw an average of 97.31 over seven legs, compared to only 69.46 for Dueckers.
