Romeo Grbavac has secured a ticket at the Eastern European qualifying tournament for the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace. It is the first time for Grbavac to compete in the World Darts Championship.
The Croatian, who competed at the World Cup of Darts earlier this year with compatriot Boris Krcmar, was considered one of the big favorites at the qualifying tournament beforehand. Other contenders were Alexander Masek, Krzysztof Kciuk, Sebastian Bialecki and Benjamin Pratnemer. The first three were beaten most personally by Grbavac himself.
Pratnemer in turn lost to Tomislav Rosandic, who eventually made for an all Croatian final. The Croatian duel was eventually won 7-3 by Grbavac.
