Rob Cross and
Lewis Williams are the first two players to make it into the last sixteen at the
Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest. Both players came back from a break behind in their second round match on Saturday afternoon.
Cross saw his opponent Ross Smith taking a 4-2 lead after hitting three ton plus finishes. Smith missed his two chances to make it 5-2 and then saw Cross come alongside. A well-timed 89 finish levelled the score in the eighth leg. The former world champion then completed his comeback with a 16-darter and a 54 checkout for the victory in this match.
Williams also came from behind against Krzysztof Ratajski. The Pole had a 3-0 lead, missed three chances to make it 4-2 and then saw the match slip out of his hands. The 19-year-old Williams claimed six legs on the spin to take the win with a superb 86% on his doubles.
