Murnan after surviving Végső scare at Hungarian Darts Trophy: "It was hard work"

Joe Murnan is through to a tie with Jose de Sousa on Saturday evening after surviving a scare against János Végső at the Hungarian Darts Trophy.

Végső led 2-0 and 5-4 before Murnan produced a 13-darter to force a decider but he survived multiple match darts en route.

"It was hard work - he did really well and he's a good player," said Murnan.

"I knew the crowd would be against me because he's a fan favourite but I've got through, and I'll be better tomorrow."
