Steven Noster has won a title on the PDC European Challenge Tour for the second time this season. In the final of the ninth tournament the German was too strong for Jimmy Hendriks (5-2).
On his way to the final Noster had beaten Ryan de Vreede (5-4), Moreno Blom (5-2), Sebastian Steyer (5-1), Kristiaan de Boer (5-1), Kevin Blomme (5-4) and Brian Raman (5-3).
With this win Noster also takes over the lead in the European Challenge Tour ranking from Matt Campbell. Later this weekend three more tournaments will be played.
The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who have participated in the Q-School, but have not won a Tour Card.
Due to travel restrictions still in place due to the corona pandemic, this year's Challenge Tour has been split into a separate circuit for both British and European players. The winners of both tours will be allowed to participate in the upcoming World Championship and receive a PDC Tour Card for 2022 and 2023.
