Rob Cross,
Krzysztof Ratajski and
Brendan Dolan all as seeded players entered the second round on Saturday at the
European Darts Grand Prix and all moved into the final day in Stuttgart.
Cross edged past Jelle Klaasen 6-5 ending the return on the
European Tour of 'The Cobra' who could not take advantage despite an average of just 86.6 from 'Voltage'.
He went 3-1 up in the early exchanges including a break of throw but Klaasen hit straight back and went on to make it 3-3. They continued to exchange holds of throw all the way until the decider from there with Cross sealing it with a 14 darter on double 18.
While another Dutchman fell by the wayside with Dolan trimming The Mullet in Danny Jansen in a 6-4 victory and an impressive one at that for 'The History Maker'.
He produced a 96 average en route to ending the run of the recent first time ProTour winner with a high checkout of 124 and he is now into Sunday's action.
Where he is joined by Krzysztof Ratajski who sent Kim Huybrechts to finishing school in a true masterclass from 'The Polish Eagle'.
He won through 6-2 with a 99 average, three 180's and 6/6 on the doubles in a superb start to the tournament from Ratajski.
