Rob Cross ended his Premier League Darts campaign with a win seeing off Glen Durrant in a battle of the eliminated players.
Cross showed glimmers at times of getting back towards some of his best but just fell short but despite that, he believes good times are ahead.
"Don't get me wrong, if I learnt to take chances in other games maybe I wasn't sitting in the situation I was tonight and the only difference is that I'm playing a lot better, I feel a lot better.
"Mental side of things, not seeing out games, not getting the results you feel a little bit different so we just carry on working on that now and make sure I'm ready for the Matchplay."
"I love being up in front of the cameras, I think it will change maybe when the crowd comes back if we do get a crowd back and you could watch and look at a different Rob. I like that buzz, I like that enthusiasm, I like the adrenaline."
Cross will be one of a small number of big names travelling to the Super Series in Niedernhausen and speaking about his time in Germany, 'Voltage' added that game time will be important.
"For the last two or three weeks, I've always felt for the last two and a half months that I'm playing well but for some reason, the last two or three weeks, the averages have gone up on TV and I've actually felt I've made a little bit of a turning point."
"I'm more looking forward to just competing. For me now, I need the regular calendar and that's how I kick on."
"It's good times ahead and I have to admit for my head to be as positive as I am, it's unusual."
Ranking Money
This is especially in a big year for Cross who will defend a large amount of ranking money this time around but it isn't something which fazes the former World Champion.
"It's not over until that last tournament that year. I've never worried about ranking money, it always sorts itself."
