The first semi-final is set at the
European Darts Grand Prix with
Damon Heta set to face
Rob Cross in Stuttgart with a place in the final of the latest
European Tour at stake.
For Cross, it is back-to-back semi-finals with the chance for a third final of the season after also reaching the title match in Prague losing out to Luke Humphries who he could meet again.
In doing so, 'Voltage' ended another good run for Rowby-John Rodriguez who himself was in consecutive Quarter-Finals but lost out 6-4 in the end. In victory, he produced a 97 average, two ton plus checkouts including a 116 and 6/15 on the doubles.
While Heta ended the run of home hero, Martin Schindler averaging 92 in the end and defying a 99.2 average, five 180's and a 164 checkout from the German ace who lost out 6-5.
Heta breezed into a 3-0 lead and despite Schindler coming back he went 4-2 up. A 164 checkout from 'The Wall' saw him break and make it 4-3 and they exchanged legs until the decider in which Heta had the throw and a 51 checkout with Schindler sat on 75 sealed it.
