The final session of action at the
European Darts Grand Prix is set to begin shortly with the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final with the winner confirmed in Stuttgart.
Only one prior victor on the
European Tour this season remains in the field but those left in the field aren't a shock by any means.
Including Martin Schindler and Damon Heta who have been two of the standouts specifically on the ProTour during the 2022 season with the latter in particular in many conversations for the top performer on the PDC Tour this season.
Rowby-John Rodriguez on the European Tour has reached back-to-back Quarter-Finals and will face a two-time finalist this season and the reigning European Champion in Rob Cross in the second Quarter-Final. As usual with 'Voltage' reaching the latter stages it serves as the weekly reminder of the fact he still has no European Tour titles to his names.
A fact which isn't the case for the two players headlining the final two Quarter-Finals in Luke Humphries and Peter Wright.
Humphries has won already in Munich and Prague this season, while despite being World Number One and World Champion, Wright has failed to hit the mark this season so far. But will hope that with the big names mostly out and 'Snakebite' through his opening few games that he can go on a run.
They will face though Brendan Dolan and Danny Noppert respectively in a quality final session line-up.
