Joe Cullen claimed the final PDC Winter Series title with victory over Krzysztof Ratajski in what was a second title in two months for 'The Rockstar' after winning the last European Tour title at the International Darts Open.
Cullen spoke afterwards and was glad with his week overall which saw consistent form despite by his own admission not being at his best and he believes if he can up the B game, he can 'do some real damage'.
โ€œI was 5-0 down in the First Round against Justin [Pipe] and I just thought, donโ€™t give up,โ€ said Cullen.
โ€œYou never expect to win from 5-0 down, never in a million years, but it wasnโ€™t so much that Justin tailed off, I just played well.
โ€œLuckily I got through that and Iโ€™ve only gone and won it! I get really nervous before the first game, on ProTours, not TV events, you feel vulnerable in the First Round.
โ€œIโ€™ve played brilliant there [in the final] but itโ€™s the ones you battle through when you know youโ€™re not playing well. Iโ€™ve felt like Iโ€™ve not played my best stuff this week but Iโ€™ve still got the results and thatโ€™s where Iโ€™ve been lacking."
โ€œItโ€™s the same with a lot of players, when youโ€™re on top form you look a million dollars, but there was no in between game, and I feel like if I can get the in between game somewhere near, I can do some real damage.โ€
