❄️🎯𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 Michael Smith ends the Winter Series on top, while Jermaine Wattimena takes a spot in the @BoyleSports Grand Slam of Darts as the highest ranked non-qualified player.
The PDC Winter Series was the final Players Championship action of the year and saw some brilliant action this week in Coventry and it was Michael Smith who finished atop the Order of Merit.
Smith finished well ahead with £23,500 due to his consistency over the course of the week alongside two titles in a row to end his title drought.
He finished ahead of Joe Cullen who won one title and reached the latter stages on multiple occasions before defeating Krzysztof Ratajski in the final on Saturday. Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price also claimed titles and finished 3rd and 5th respectively with Jose de Sousa in between as 'The Special One' despite not winning a title impressed all week.
Damon Heta reached a final losing out to Gerwyn Price and finished 6th but for Jermaine Wattimena who was in the final on the opening day, this proved pivotal as 'Machine Gun' will now make his Grand Slam debut.
Brendan Dolan was thus denied a spot after a good week for the History Maker still saw Wattimena £1,500 ahead. Krzysztof Ratajski and Vincent van der Voort from there finalised the top ten.
