Joe Cullen claimed victory in PDC Home Tour Group 31 on Sunday night hitting averages of 106.2, 107.6 and 105.8 in topping the group which included Gerwyn Price.
For Cullen, it was a true measure of what he can do on the oche and he admits there is work to do and that he is hoping to achieve that while he is off.
"Since I played (in the Home Tour) on the sixth, I've probably had two hours practice. Like I say it's difficult to motive yourself when you're not playing regularly and I'm not the greatest practicer anyway. I'm not one of those who posts 110 averages, I'd rather try and keep my game for the matches," said Cullen.
"I need to improve my mindset to an elite mindset like a couple of years I got to the Quarters of the World Matchplay and the semi-finals of the European Championship and I just rested on my laurels. I thought that'll do us, obviously the money pays well; the big guns don't think like that. I'm the first to admit, I'm pretty lazy."
