Martin Schindler eliminates Danny Noppert in last leg decider as Chris Dobey eases through to semifinals

Martin Schindler is into the semi-finals of the International Darts Open on Sunday night. Chris Dobey has joined him in progressing through the last eight of the European Tour tournament in Riesa.

Noppert started the match excellently by breaking his German opponent in the first leg. However, the darter from Joure then also lost his own leg and fell behind 4-2

Throwing out 81 and 127, Noppert then fought his way back to 4-4, before winning 5-4 via double 2. In the tenth leg, Noppert had a matchdart, but missed the double 20. Schindler then forced a final leg, before 'The Wall' took the win in the eleventh leg via double 10. In the semifinals, Schindler will face Chris Dobey. The Englishman has been in excellent form for weeks and managed to beat Ryan Searle 6-2 for a spot in the last four. 'Hollywood' finished nicely with a 10-darter, bringing his average to 104.26.
